Dear Parents, 

 

Are you ready for “THE Talk” with your child?  You know the one about the “birds and the bees”?  This is a hard subject to talk about.  Peace would like to partner with you, the Christian home, along with the Christian school and church to discuss and give you ways to begin or continue this hard conversation with your child.  

 

You may think that your child is too young to know "this stuff." However, if you, as the parent, are not teaching your child about sexuality, your child will learn distorted lessons about sexuality from TV, Internet, and playground conversations.  If you are silent on sex while the rest of the world is abuzz about it, your child will learn that you cannot help in this key area. If you teach Godly, truthful, tactful, and appropriate lessons about sexuality, your child will trust you more and see you as a parent who tells the truth.

 

So...I would like to invite you to have a conversation together about how to have a conversation with your son or daughter about growing up and the changes that are going on in their body.  

 

I will be leading a Biblically-based, six-session, multimedia program that empowers you, the parent, to have healthy, ongoing conversations with their kids about love, s_ _ (birds and bees), and relationships.  This is a great Bible study for parents of pre-teens and teens.  It's NEVER too early to begin thinking about these conversations.  This Bible study is open to all parents, even if you are only beginning to think about how to have these conversations. 

 

The study begins on Wednesday, January 8, 6:30-7:30pm.  (Dates 1/8, 1/15, 1/22, 1/29, 2/5, 2/12) Babysitting available upon request.
