Mrs. Suzette Quail, Early Childhood Director and Preschool Teacher

I am blessed to oversee an outstanding preschool program and a team of early childhood educators who love children and are dedicated to academic excellence, Christian leadership, and who strive every day to be an inspiration to students and families of God’s grace, mercy and love.

My boys are graduates of Peace Lutheran and Lutheran High School North.  Our positive experience in the preschool program and the loving, caring, gifted teachers are what made us stay for K-8.  I am grateful that I was led to be the Early Childhood Director after serving Peace as an Office Administrator and preschool teacher.

I enjoy visiting the preschool classrooms each day!  The laughter, the smiles, the hugs, and hellos warm my heart.  I feel like a rock star when I walk in the room and the children shout “Mrs. Quail!”  I love to watch the children learn, grow and develop into strong Christian boys and girls. The progression from the beginning of the year to the end of the year is amazing!

I welcome you to join our Peace family.  Peace is home and where you are accepted and welcomed as you are.  Here you and your children will feel loved and cared for.

Hello, I’m Jessica Bailey. I feel so blessed to have found Peace Lutheran. I have been a dedicated Preschool Aide for the past five years. I love supporting young learners as they explore, discover, and build the foundations for a lifelong love of learning. I am passionate about creating a caring and engaging classroom environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to grow.

I am a proud parent—my two boys attend Peace, making it an extra special place for my family. Outside of the classroom, i enjoy spending time outdoors, gardening, and getting lost in a good book.

Peace just feels like family.  I have two sons that attend Peace, and I feel so blessed to be back after homeschooling for three years.  I felt called to work in the school, not knowing what God had planned, I was a little nervous about working with the preschool.  But it feels right, and everyone is just so welcoming.  I’m both excited and thankful for this opportunity to help each child grow and teach them about Jesus and how much He loves them.   I’m excited to help them build their foundation both academically and spiritually,  Proverbs 22:6.

I live in Washington with my amazing husband of 26 years.  We have two sons Nathan and Noah, and two cats, Jax and Alainjah.  We love traveling and watching our eldest son play football. We own a real estate investment company that has proven to be both fun and challenging at times.   We love God and entertaining our friends at our house.  I’m so excited for what God has planned for this year, I’m sure it’ll be awesome!

I have spent the last 19 years as a stay-at-home mom, including the last nine years of those homeschooling our two children. I reside in Bruce Township and have been married for 21 years to a great chiropractor.  My son is a sophomore in college attending and playing baseball at Rochester University.  My daughter is currently a senior in high school. I believe in early childhood education as a foundation for children to grow to become lifelong learners and critical thinkers. It’s important to have a positive attitude and make every minute count. This can be accomplished through creative play, friendships, and faith.  My interests are watching my kids play their sports, going for walks with my Swiss mountain pup, traveling, and living a holistic lifestyle.  I am blessed to be a part of Peace Lutheran and excited to see what God’s plan is for this school year.

I am so happy to be part of the Peace family. What a blessing it is to work with children as they grow emotionally, socially, and academically, all while learning about Jesus! I, along with my husband, son, and giant labradoodle, live in Shelby Township. My son completed 3-and 4-year-old preschool at Peace as well as the Young 5’s program. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering at my son’s school, traveling, concerts, attempting to garden, being a soccer mom, and, in the fall, college football - Go Green!

Prior to working at Peace, I was a stay-at-home mom. I have also worked in communications/public relations for nonprofit organizations and have degrees from Michigan State University and Oakland University.

I’m beyond blessed to be joining the Peace staff this year and the wonderful group of Preschool teachers! I will be an aide in the 4-year-old classroom. I have lived in Shelby Township my whole life and love it here. I have four wonderful boys and an amazing husband!

This is the first year all my boys will be in school all day so I decided I needed something for me, which led me here! I have volunteered and helped in preschools since my oldest attended Pre-K which he is now almost 12 now, and loved it so much! So I knew this is where I am supposed to be. I am truly excited to start this school year! The Peace community is amazing and has welcomed me with open arms!

I am a preschool aide.  I have been attending Peace since 2008 and my children have been students at school here for the past 14 years.  This place just feels like a warm hug on most days.  When I decided to go back to work, I didn’t want to work in the field I got my degree in.  I wanted to work with kids.  I love the Lord and I love kids.  I love watching how much the kids grow academically and spiritually over the school year.  Learning is fun and we make it fun in preschool.

Hi, I’m Lydia Tomczyk. I feel so blessed to be joining the Peace staff this year! I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Oakland University. For the past seven years, I’ve been a stay-at-home mom, which has taught me a lot about patience, creativity, and understanding—skills I’m excited to bring to a preschool setting. Previously, I have worked in educational environments where my kindness and nurturing nature were well recognized.

I enjoy music and art and have played the piano for just over 20 years. In my free time, I love being outdoors, biking, fishing, and spending quality time with my beautiful family.

With my two children attending Peace, I am excited to engage with this wonderful community on a deeper level. As a devoted Christian, I’m eager to share the love of Jesus with children and support their growth both academically and spiritually. I’m looking forward to seeing how the Lord will use my gifts and talents this school year, and to witness His continued faithfulness. God is so good!

Hi! My name is Sandra Vitale, and I feel truly blessed to be joining this incredible team at Peace Lutheran. Sharing our faith and the love of God is a gift I deeply cherish, and I look forward to sharing it with our students and families.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from Oakland University and I have spent the past three years as a nursery/preschool aide working with young children, which is my greatest joy. I’m excited to get to know the students and families at Peace Lutheran and be part of such a caring and faith-filled community.

My husband and I recently celebrated 26 years of marriage and we are blessed with our three children. My oldest son is 23 years old, an MSU graduate, working as a financial analyst while pursuing his MBA; my daughter is 21 years old, a recent graduate from Oakland University, working on her Master’s Degree while student-teaching this Fall; my youngest son is 20 years old and a Junior at Oakland University in the business program.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, reading, and walking/working out. During my time in early childhood, I have witnessed the growth of students’ academic, social, and emotional development. I’m thrilled to be part of the Peace Lutheran family and look forward to a great school year!

Mrs. Janice Yizze, Preschool Teaching Assistant

I have been a Shelby Township resident for 32 years; my husband built our house and we remain here.  My 4 children attended Utica Community Schools. We have graduates from Michigan State, Oakland University and Western. They are all grown and we have 10 (almost 11, due September) grandchildren, all in the area.  We love this area, Stoney Creek, downtown Rochester, and all the beautiful parks and great restaurants.

I have a BBA from Walsh College.  I worked a few years after college and then became a stay at home mom.  When my youngest was in middle school I went back to work full time (While they were in school, I did home day care for the teachers’ children.)  I have worked with children, in the medical field, and most recently with senior citizens in a retirement community.  I love children and am very excited for this opportunity to work at Peace!

My husband and I love to travel.  We have recently completed our bucket list trip to Greece and are planning our next trip to Italy.  We love to explore the culture, history, and sites.  We enjoy hiking, biking, walking, and we have recently started dabbling in pickle ball. We are also big foodies and love watching sports (especially hockey and baseball).

I love to read, play board games, and hang out with my grandchildren, husband, and adult kids!
