The early childhood years are an exciting time of growth and development! Here at Peace Lutheran Preschool we offer a well-planned program with a wide variety of experiences to develop young minds and bodies. We are dedicated to the growth of the whole child. Our program provides a balance between free play and teacher-directed learning activities. Learning takes place in a warm, friendly and relaxed setting. Learning materials are easily accessible to the children. These experiences provide a pleasant and enjoyable approach to discovery and creativity.
Celebrating 50 Years of Nurturing Young Minds: A Milestone in Preschool Education
This year marks a remarkable milestone for our church community as we celebrate 50 years of providing quality preschool education to the children of our congregation and community. Since our preschool program’s first class in the 1974-1975 school year, we have been dedicated to fostering a nurturing, creative, and spiritually enriching environment where young learners can grow, explore, and build the foundations for lifelong learning.
Over the past five decades, our preschool has become more than just an educational program; it has become a place where children develop their sense of wonder, curiosity, confidence, and faith. Each child who steps through our doors is greeted with warmth and encouragement, supported by our loving and dedicated staff, who are committed to guiding them on their journey of learning and discovery.
From humble beginnings with just a handful of children, our preschool has grown and evolved to meet the ever-changing needs of families in our community. Yet, our core mission has remained steadfast: to provide a Christ-centered environment that nurtures each child’s intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual growth. Through play, exploration, and hands-on learning experiences, our preschoolers not only gain foundational skills in reading, math, and science, but also learn the values of kindness, empathy, and respect.
As we reflect on the past 50 years, we are grateful for the many dedicated teachers, staff, and volunteers who have poured their hearts into making this program a success. Their passion and commitment have shaped the lives of countless children, creating a legacy that will continue for generations to come. We also thank our parents and the entire congregation for their unwavering support, which has allowed us to expand and improve our preschool year after year.
As we look to the future, we remain committed to adapting and growing, always with the goal of providing the best possible start in life for the children entrusted to our care. We look forward to the next 50 years of inspiring, educating, and nurturing the hearts and minds of our youngest learners.
Join us in celebrating this significant milestone during our special anniversary events, where we will reflect on our shared history and look forward to the exciting journey ahead. We are excited to continue this mission of service to our community, and we thank God for His guidance and blessing over the past 50 years.
Our celebration begins with a Glow Dance & Birthday Party on Friday, February 28, from 6:30-8:00pm. The event is free, however, if you choose, we are collecting items to support Abigayle Ministries. Items needed: Disinfecting Wipes, Lysol Disinfectant Spray, Ziploc Gallon Bags, and Destin Diaper Rash Paste.
